About El Raso:
El Raso is a beautiful development with wide Palm tree lined avenues and lots of green areas, it is surrounded by farm land of orange and lemon groves and the fragrance of the blossom in spring is wonderful. The development leads down to the La Mata lake and nature reserve offering horse riding and mountain bike trails, there are resident Flamingos and all types of migratory birds. On El Raso there is a mini-market shop selling fresh bread, English newspapers etc daily, bars, restaurants and a local bus service into the nearby quaint sea side town of Guardamar-del-Segura only ten minutes away. There is also now a new small Shopping Mall under construction (completion date Feb. 2019). Guardamar is a picturesque old Spanish town with stunning blue flag beaches and a beach front promenade lined with cafes offering beautiful sea views. For shopping Guardamar has everything from shoes made locally to large supermarkets, there is also a weekly farmers market and in the summer an evening street market.
