Los Montoros is a small hamlet with around 25 houses, set in the countryside, 10km from Ugijar. The road leading from the main road into the hamlet is narrow and party steep, going over the mountain down to the valley. At the beginning of the hamlet, you find the communal parking. You can not drive to the house. There are narrow aley winding around the houses in the hamlet. It is peaceful and quiet, with the nature all around. The nearest services and amenities are found in Ugijar. Most of the people living in the hamlet are Spanish, but there are a few foreigners too.

Ugijar:

Ugijar is a town with 3000 inhabitants, and is the capital of the Ugijar municipality in the Alpujarra mountains, south of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, in the Granada province. The town has a school, shops, bars, cafes, museums, town hall, squares and historic buildings. The buses going to Granada and Almería stop here. It is only situated 500m above sea level, which makes the climate much warmer than you would expect.
